The Student Success Academy (SSA) is a summer bridge program for incoming first-year students. The program is held in the summer before the fall semester starts. SSA is a two-week program focusing on developing the necessary skills required for advanced learning at the college level.
SSA has proven to benefit and prepare incoming students for our general education courses by strengthening necessary skills—such as critical thinking, writing, and mathematics. Historically, students who have participated in SSA average a higher GPA in their first semester than those who do not participate.
