Student Success Academy (SSA) is a summer bridge program for incoming first-year students. The two-week program is held the summer before the fall semester starts, and focuses on developing the necessary skills required for advanced learning at the college level, while also helping students feel confident, prepared, and connected before fall classes begin.
SSA benefits and prepares incoming students by strengthening necessary skills such as critical thinking, writing, and mathematics. Historically, students who have participated in SSA average a 1.0 higher GPA in their first semester than those who do not participate.
